Hello SERV friends,

Save the Date for SERV's upcoming panel on urban renewal in Roanoke. Join us on March 15th to hear the lived experiences of Roanokers who were displaced in the 1960s and 1970s from Northeast Roanoke. Altogether, urban renewal in Roanoke demolished 1,600 black homes, 200 black businesses, and 24 churches.

Duke Integrative Medicine Urban Retreat

The goal of this retreat according to their website is “to provide a “retreat” from your everyday routine and a structured learning opportunity that will give you a chance to “check in” with yourself.  While this won’t be a spa day, and cultivating mindfulness takes focus and determination, we hope you leave at the end of Day 3 feeling uplifted and more relaxed!”
